In case y'all don't know me, my name is Tobikomi. I am new to Pixeljoint, and I love pixelart. I am an old-school video game enthusiast, and my goal is to make art from different color palettes. Enough about me, let's look at the art itself.
This is a .gif I made when I was experimenting with animation from various old school video games. I wanted to express my love towards the ATARI 8-bit line of computers and its capabilities; as a result, I recreated the ATARI logo and added some twinkles to add some whimsical atmosphere within the .gif. I also added a character of mine, standing under the logo while flashing, as if he was gaining power. As I look back at this, I feel a bit of accomplishment in the animation, but there are some things I would like to change, personally. One of those changes would be to make a better landscape, because the value scales in the purple are not very even. Another change I would make might not concern everyone, but I just can't stand how it looks; that change is to better center the ATARI logo, along with my character.
