I have a whole set of little emotes involving this... But there is obviously no point in me uploading them all, even as one picture, though the animations all use the same time. It would just defeat the purpose of them, anyway.

It was made for use on various colored backgrounds, and parts would disappear against black. The white is to make it stand out more.

Kewl interesting picture, not much to say black and white outline i dunno why ? other than that the pic is done very well.
