Because you have highlights and shadows around each bit of grass, they look more like fat green worms than grass. Grass blades are called "blades" for a reason - they're flat. They don't have edge shadows or highlights unless you look at them really up close. Instead, their brightness is determined by their angle to the light source. This means that they'll tend to be solid-coloured except when they bend or have shadows cast on them.
If you're looking for lots of critique, I recommend posting on the forum rather than the gallery, people are more likely to give specific feedback there. The gallery is for finished works, and is most appropriate or something like a mockup using an entire finished tileset than a single tile that may not even be finished yet. With a single tile people can't even tell how well it tiles.
Also, don't worry about your style. You'll develop a consistent style as you learn more and make more art. While you're still learning basic stuff, it's only natural to experiment and have lots of different looks to your work.
Thanks ! :) I'll post on the forum next time. Also thanks for the advice I found myself outlining each piece of grass while making this like you said.
