You don't need to upload both a preview image and a detail file if they're just going to be identical. PJ will automatically use the preview file as the main piece if there's no detail file, and it'll show it just once on the page instead of twice.
That said, for this I recommend uploading a separate and different preview image. The animation makes it larger than 10kb, which means it won't show up on the front page after being accepted. You may want to upload a still image (perhaps with "preview" text on it) if you'd like your animations to be on the front page.
