Thanks. I usually make a small sketch to get the right feeling and then start pixeling the head. Somehow the head always makes for a good anchor point for me.
Yeah I had a lot of problems with the flames. I didn't want them to look to realisticy but they ended up pretty much just matching the coat.
I don't have a DA account at the moment, I might make one at some point though. Right now I mainly use my Twitter to post art
This is amazing, I noticed it's 250px and I'm curious. Where do you start in such a big canvas? Like the head, the feet, etc. I'm very curious.
Good work! This one looks great.
Not very convinced about the flame sword effect, maybe using some sort of a different red scale, actually it's melting with the character's robe.
That's great to hear!!! I am very much looking forward to that :D Do you post your pixel art on DA? If so I would like to follow you! I like your style and work!
I was thinking about doing that a bit more but I felt like it didnt make too much of a difference on 1x. I should probably do it for zoomed in versions though.
Wow thanks so much. That's such a nice compliment. I'm actually working on a mockup like that. So I guess look forward to that :)
It might be worth it to do some line break AA. Here is an example from this piece along the outline of the shoulder armor.
Oh wow I really like the look of this one! This is probably my favorite piece of yours so far, looks like you could just plop it right in to a 2D fighting game that I would play the hell out of with graphics like that lol. I really like the character and their design, the pose, it's just wonderful, great work! Can't wait to see more n_n
I like this hair color/shadow :)
