The best I can think of is just choosing uniform outline colors since it's a sprite. AA that effects the outer outline can be messy with different backgrounds. 
If I may make a suggestion, I believe your figure's eyes will read better if you remove the whites and lower the eyebrows to make the eye/eyebrow shape more of a horizontal rectangle.
