Hey everyone! My first upload, and the first serious piece I made.

I used MS Paint for this

Please let me know any tips or suggestions! :)

So beautiful. Like the style very much. The line texturing reminds me of some older games. Love it.

thank you for the feedback. i tried creating a 80x100 piece for the weekly challenge, and i completely understand what you mean now by being controlled at the pixel level ... glad to have people like you helping a young pup like me along!

Hi and welcome!

Lovely atmosphere in this piece.

But as eishiya said, it's not really controlled at the pixel level.
Pixel art is about the precise and thoughtful placement of each single pixel. There are just too many on a large piece like this: impossible!

I'd highly recommend to work on reasonable size pieces: 100x100 at most for a while, even 64x64 (get yourself an avatar!). At these sizes, it is actually possible to have good pixel control, and build skills and habits that can be used later for larger pieces.
Even seasoned pixel artists will shy away from million-pixel pieces, or they use tricks!

i appreciate the feedback! i struggled the most with the grass

The ground and grass are very noisy. Try to suggest the ground texture and things growing out of it with the shapes of your clusters, instead of scribbling in thin lines. Scribbling can work in high-res art, but in pixel art it tends to create a lot of noise instead.
