@ Esven I started out using more white pixels for tiny lights, until I figured the same as you that they do look sporadic and often out of place in the gradiant. I could've darkened them to be less stand-out, or cushioned the grays around it, but in the end I limited the problem by using less. With such a chaotic scene, I think they help the eyes as guide points to new undiscovered areas.
@Macaroni and Cheese. It'd be even crazier if that was the plaforming section. Good luck navigating!
@Ultimogames. Wallpaper away! I'm thinking of getting it printed on a poster myself.
Thanks very much for the comments, I wasn't quite sure how well the piece would be recieved, Hoping to use this style as a basis and improve my pixeling skills. It is designed to be the background of a dark future; the idea is there's too many machines and largely junk. Over-creation can be unhealthy, you know ;).
A good piece that can work as a background for a dark side scrolling platformer.
Really neat, your use of white is so sparce I'm having trouble not seeing it as a spattering of individual pixels though.
I could use this as a wall paper in my house :) interesting piece!
I think it's cool too!
I could say that there is a little mess all over around and some elements lacks symmetry and order... But I won't, because it's very atmospheric.
cool
