I can't even understand how you managed to go through all the bits of this piece, and not only that, but also making it look consistent, with a good sense of perspective and atmosphere, and so complex!
I envy the patience you have with your pieces. Each corner carries a lot of detail and care, it's really impressive.
It also reminds me of a few old-school point-and-click games with overhead maps.
The way the water works makes me think that it's a puddle, and the whle castle is actually really small. It's like something from Gulliver's Travels. I really like it.
Glad to see the Fool is still posting quality pixels here, he is one of the artists that made me love the art, them and Metal Slug series.
One of the most impressive pixel art pieces that i have ever seen
Is it just me or does the scale of the water look a bit off? To me it looks like a toy castle set next to a pond.
God damn, that's another masterpiece to your collection my friend. :)
Hmm. Should I fave this? Well..I dunno, it looks kinda...rrmmm....hummmm.....HELL YES!
Thanks to this I played and finished the game. Everything about it was awesome. (but it's hard to find thanks to another knightfall game).
Awesome, like always :). Some part of buildings looks like bunkers from Cannon Fodder II :D
Incredible! Hall of Fame - Im a huge fan of youre work :)
For f**ks sake! I quess I don't need to work for the rest of the day since I flipped my table after seeing this.
While this looks absolutely amazing and beautiful, it seems to me that You did not spent the very-very high degree of attention to every bit of the art as usual. Mostly the bottom outlines of the southern walls and some odd shapes (the tower caps) look somewhat unrefined.
Just looking at the preview I've said: Omg, this is Fool's drawing style.
An amazing art work!
Always great to see new stuff from you.
Fantastic work! I loved the aerial view.
The same style / colors as the well known iso one.
Beautiful exampe for study
I like the lively environment and the non-isometric style, simply impressive.
While playing, I never noticed the cliff+bridge side of the city. It adds nicely to the castle feeling like a place that could exist though. The terrain around the castle overall feels like there's a larger world out there, something a lot of maps for limited locations forget.
tl;dr Stop being so good dammit.
Very good
