Mhm, actually in the wipgif I sort of try to do that except I go full oxidized with no brown. Didn't really work out even with all my copper references at hand

Yea, you're very right, having it more weathered and beat up would've been more inline with the rock slab that it's on too.

I don't think I come close to the amount attention he puts to his pieces in regards to how clean they look! You've also gotten some real badass animations under your belt in the last year ;)

This it's great!  I was thinking that a little more red in the palette and a little more contrasted highlight on the statue could give more of a copper colour to it, but that hammered metal look is perfect!  

Being that it's a slightly more gloomy piece, I do agree with Manupix that there would be nothing wrong with giving it that worn and oxidized look.  I also agree that it's excellent.
