For a scorched earth type game. Trying to keep the color count down. The explosion effect is HEAVILY influenced by metal slug. EDITED: Timing to slow it down a bit

The explosion is good, i like the fiery part of it. Although the ending ends far too bluntly for me. In metal slug they'd have a few more frames of dispersion of the smoke. Also, it seems to dissapate from below, i think it would look more like an explosion if it did so from the centre when it reaches the top or whatver. Nice though.

the explosion is def. metal slug, but the tank isnt, needs to be a more weird design for that ;)

The explosion is supposed to be from something like a missle strike.

Yeah, you can tell it is heavily influenced by Metal Slug... and by influenced I mean copied.

I am trying to go for something lean on frames to conserve filesize, anyone have any suggestions about ways to smooth it out without throwing in 5 more frames?

definitely got that metal slug stuff in it......I suggest adding more frames in between to make it smoother like right when it explodes.

I think the animation is a bit too fast! Try to slow it down a bit and add some more frames to get a smoother animation.
