Just a little comparison from the past few months. Altogether, not that much improvement, but I'm much happier with the overall style that I've got going (slightly less time consuming, as well). CC is appreciated. Color count is for the dragon on the right.

Lot´s of improvement, the dragon on the left is quite flat, the right one has a great volume by your new shading.

I definitely see an improvement, the dragon on the right is smoother and overall more aesthetically pleasing
