Embarrassingly, the door needs to have that angle in order for the player to be able to fit through when the doors are sideways
It's the good old Zelda perspective! Top down 2D games almost all have broken perspetive in one way or another. You could fix the doors so the angle of the sides of their frames matches the angle of the pillars in the corner of the room but other than that it's a perfect take on that style.
The perspective is broken because the tiles are re-used, resulting in inaccurate angles. To fix the perspective I would need to hand draw every room in the game to match the vanishing point, which is unfeasable.
Looks great, but I think there's something off about the perspective. Can't tell what.
