This is a walking animation for a top-down stealth game I'm working on. Any comments?

Maybe the feet are spaced to far apart? They look about shoulder width apart, which is ok when standing still but a lot harder to walk with... I think it looks ok!

In regards to the darkness, the game is supposed to be dark so I was trying to keep it in sync with that. You bring up a good point though. Perhaps I should recolor it to have more contrast and brightness.
I have always kind of blown at walking anims though. I realize the upper body is pretty much not animated at all, minus the head (badly moving). Anyone have any reference images as to how you would animate a sprite walking from above? Also, chanfan, when you said the head looked bad do you mean the animation or the hair texture/shape?  I'll get to  work on fixing this animation pretty soon, but I have some other things and sprites to do first. I'll reupload when it's finished though.

You need to animate the arms more.. And the head looks bad! Make the animation of it smoother.  right now it's just jerking around. The feet looks kind of wierd when he lifts them to move them forward.
