3 years ago, Achim Volkers released a freeware c64 game called Space Trip which was an action platform game where the player had to free the decks of abandoned space craft from invading aliens. Space Trip 2086 is a remake again by Achim Volkers, with enhanced play graphics and sound that was released a a commercial release though Psytronik earlier this year; it is available as a physical release on disk and cassette and also as a digital download through itchio. I had the honour of being asked to create the new graphics and sound for the game, choosing a colourful bas-relief style reminiscant of c64 games from the mid to late 80s. A thoroughly enjoyable project to work on. The title page was inspired by the artwork from games released by mastertronic in that period.
