Well, I tried to make them look like mountains, but I can tell It fell quite short on that end. Guess I should've done something different or changed it up a bit, tried going for simple backgrounds with few contrasts, heh. 

I see what you mean about the lighting, I should try to stay a bit more consistent, I guess I didn't really think it through, I was just improvising based on what I had learned, and I didn't think of visual logic. Thank you so much for your feedback and your warm welcome! :)

As for feedback: A little more contrast might make this scene a bit easier to read. Make the light source consistent, the tree is lit from the sides yet the bricks (are sticking out in a way that they) are lit from the top?
Also, I can not tell what the purpleish background elements are supposed to be...
