Okay I changed the background color and it definetly pops more. Size of the bird poses a whole different problem.

Thanks for the comment, I chose the background color so it stood out from the one in the site, but yeah it seems to darken everything. Would you suggest something brighter? As for the breathing room I completely agree, I could barely fit the backside feathers so it comes out as distorted.

I think this could really use some empty pixels on the sides to give the bird some "breathing room". It's hard to see its exact shape because it's butting up against the edges.

I also recommend a different background colour or a transparent background, the greys don't stand out well from the dark purple.
