You didn't need to resubmit. If the old file was showing up, it was just because your browser had cached it and you needed to hard refresh or clear your cache to make it show up.

It looks ace already, but have you tried adding a bit more colour to it, i.e. shifting the light colours towards some hue and the darks towards another? I think this could look pretty good with cool lights and warm darks, a lot more colourful within the same colour count.
