Great and brave usage of highly saturated colors (and pink! I wish people were less affraid of using pink!). I love the description as well - the last line is something I repeat quite often when I try to motivate myself :D
Thank you so much! That means a tonne (the metric version, not that whoosy u.s. one)! I would love to make return to this concept in the future.
This is breath-taking, even for pixel art. This would be perfect for some screenshot from the ATARI ST!
Thanks! I think, at the time of conception, there was a bit of Seussian influence. I like to think there are lots of dream-like places in the universe.
Colors are interesting :) Really dream-like mood!
Thanks for the comment! I tried to keep it as visually interesting as I could within the bounds of the pallette I gave myself. I could definitely see it being a cut screen for an old pic game, especially when zoomed to 2x. Maybe this could be the beginning of a larger project. It's not like I have enough already
Thank you, my friend! I've been trying new ways to make my art stand out and continually develop personal style. I love weird palettes. I've only used other's palettes twice and neither of the pieces are done yet
. I think experimenting is the best way to get new and interesting colour combinations. Are you unsure if a strange palette will work or not? Try it anyway! You might be surprised.
Being relatively new to pixel art as a legit art form, it's not as easy as other mediums have been for me. I know it seems like an uphill struggle for many and because of that too many people give up on it thinking it was going to be easy. But how often in life is anything that's really worth it going to be easy!? Hardly ever! I may not be the next Jalonso or cure but, by george, I'm gonna try my hardest while encouraging everyone else to do the same! Keep it up and don't give up!
