Yeah that's probably true, thanks. I'm definitely still getting a feel for when to use it and when not.
I think you over-AAed parts of this. Over-AAing things makes them look blurry.
It's especially noticeable on the skin-shirt boundary on the chest. You generally don't need to AA 45 degree angles at all since they're already smooth, and when the colours are similar enough (such as light skin colour and the light shirt colour), you usually don't need to AA gentler angles either. I think the AA between the different shirt colours is also unnecessary, they're not that distinct from each other.
I personally like to get everything done without AA, then look at the result in 1x and AA any parts that look blocky at that size.
