I think the shadows themselves are fine - not "accurate", but effective nonetheless! It's just the AA. You've basically made a halo of AA around the shadow, instead of only adding it where the shadow shape was blocky. For example, horizontal, vertical and 45 degree-angled edges don't need AA at all, because they're already smooth. Here's an edit of the AA to make it less blurry.

Editing the thumbnail sounds like a hassle D: Feel free to use this!

Shading objects was always one of my worst enemies, my brain gets confused when things become 3d.

It's really annoying because i struggle with shadows since several years and need like 20 tries at least.

It's weird, like my brain cant imagine how shadows should look, i would be really happy if you could give me some tips!
