Sorry, got the name wrong, the amiga title I refered is Leander by Psygnosis, check it out.
If people think your art looks like amiga stuff...then you ARE on right path! :)
Wow, thanks a lot! I'm flattered because... you know, I'm a (secret) admirer of your work and style. So, you commenting here is kinda flattering to me :D
Hey thanks man! You're absolutely right. I somehow felt the same. Unfortunately though, I always notice such things too late, when the piece is already done. Anyway, thanks for your effort. I'll keep it as a reminder that'll -hopefully- help me prevent running into the same problem again in the future ;)
Hehe, thank you. Yeah, it makes for a cute little pet, don't you think? xD
Thank you! I'm sorry but who or what is Lander? I've never had an Amiga and only played a little bit on a friend's machine. It wasn't until a few years ago with the help of the internet that I stumbled upon some neat Amiga game artwork. Seems that I missed a lot, at least in the art department. I love that "typical" amiga look but don't really use the actual palette. In fact I rarely use pre-made palettes. Just turns out that I often end up setting up colors that look kinda Amiga-ish :)
Hahaha, like I said in the description, I just keep on adding details, which isn't always for the best. Anyway, glad you like it. Thanks for the comment!
One of the best... wow, that's praise indeed. Thanks a lot!
I love the rendering here. But somehow the sprite feel a little flat, i made a quick edit (npa) just to illustrate what I'd suggest. Nice job either way!
Superb piece, reminds me of some of the Lander work.
Are you using amiga pallete?
I think this is one of the best pixels from the side-angle i've ever seen, stunning work!
Hehe, yeah I like to think so. Now, Leander sounds vaguely familiar. What does definitely sound familiar though, is Psygnosis. They released games on the 16bit home consoles too, which is where I got came to know the name... though mainly through reviews in gaming magazines. Kids' money is always too meager to buy all the cool stuff :D
