That's a wild story - especially since, and this is a guess, but I think it had more to do with the cheating than whatever "dancing" happened!
Appreciate the feedback! My inspiration was a lot of things, but I wanted to capture the essence of a "middle of a relationship feeling" - the butterflies are all but gone, there aren't any fireworks or heartmending moments, but that's all the same replaced by a quiet, constant feeling of comfort. You can relax, talk, and be OPEN (Hence naked people, opened window, clear light) with one another! I wanted to capture the feeling of being part of someone else, and feeling them be a part of you :)
thank you for asking!
This is pretty cool and slightly amusing. It makes me think of how my Aunt ended up divorcing her husband actually. The way my cousin described it (he was about 8 at the time, mind you) that she came home and he was "dancing" naked in the front room with the window wide open. I never received clarification on the "dancing" part, but I was only 6 or so at the time so it became a moot point and didn't really ever come up again. It also came to light that he was cheating on her with a ditzy girl half his age. I suppose that's a story for another pixel piece.
Great work! What WAS your inspiration for this piece? Seems like a comfy thought if I had to guess?
I think you may be on to something about the circumstances covering the whole thing.
That's a really cool thought to make into art. I'm glad it had a backstory and was really thought out and meant something. Now it means something to me too!
. I love to make fantasy pieces, but all too often it ends up being mindless "awesome pose!" "great dragon!" "Buxom Barbarianess!" type work.
Thank you again for sharing this!
