This is where boredom and originality leads to. The sonic was originally pixelated on My Nintendo DS (MKDSemblem). I repixelated him on mspaint to save him, since I wanted to make a new one. Then I decided to use him as an old expirement I abbandonated. Using triangles instead of sqaures on a megaman. Well this is the final result. I wanted to show the result can be very close to squares and that details aren't lost easily!. Also, I wanted to show off the emblem first :P. The hexagonal version was a disaster but still : Here

XD yeah, but what do you want? in our sivilasations all coordations and measurements are in squares and orthonomic :P

@PMrog : if the hexagones would be smaller, they wouldn't really be perfect hexagones anymore. I could resize the pixelart to make it bigger.

I think your hexagonal one wasn't as good because you made them too large. The hexagonals are about 2 1/2 times the size of the triangles and squares. I think if you used the same ratio, it might look a lot better.

... would there be a bunch of blank half-pixels at the outer edge around the monitor? Just guessing.
