I'm surprised that the texturing for his skin works as well as it does, very cool! The smoke from the gun barrel is pretty hard to see I gotta say, though.

Oh, I gotcha!  Very creative!  You've submitted in many styles and genres; it really shows a broad range while many stick to one specific niche anymore.  What inspires you most with pixel art?  Is it just things you like in life or are you trying to develop something specifically to  define your art and branch out from the rest of your work?  I'm looking forward to your next submission. 

I had a background to go with it, but I was too lazy to actually finish it. The yellow things were supposed to be fireflies, so I can see how they look out of place.

Very cool!  I love his facial details and the scale clusters. It's a little unclear what the yellow surrounding him is, but I assume they're gunshot flashes?
