They're very good! I do prefer the top row, but both versions are nice. I've never played the game so I'm wondering if both versions of each character are in the game?
I hope to see more characters from you because your style is very aesthetically pleasing. Keep it up! 
I feel like these would both look a lot better if you made the red and blue less saturated, it really clashes with the green and gray. Other than that though I think you did a really good job! 
@DexRunner: Both versions will be used in the game, small will be based on the main map. And big will be in invetory. I think I will do more such characters ;) Thanks
