Its pretty Random. I mostly started with solid shapes and then I would cut as continuous a line as possible through them. I would cut out more space if they needed to be darker or less if I wanted it more filled in.

That would be amazing!  What is the pattern you use for your hieroglyphs?  Is there somewhere specific you're getting inspiration from or is it somewhat random?
