Well, that is what i was going for, so i guess thats a compliment. 
Also you should really try metroid.
Not at all familiar with Metroid but for the times I played as Samus in Super Smash Bros., and the fact that I know she's a woman.
To me, this looks like an interesting gelatinous alien with an inner network of alien tissue.
I give it two short, stubby, slimy alien tenticles out of five.
