Not just the hair, and you probablu know that. I could spend hours nitpicking your sttuff but It's moronic to nitpic your stuff. You have some real skills there pal. Hope to see you at the next Edison. :)
I can spot your style from a mile away. Excellent rendering with an interesting palette.
@orangemagic: Thanks a lot :)
Skin texture is 'temporary' - I planned to render it 'full pro' but run out of time.
(the same for 'background')
@Frost: - thanks Frost, I'm glad you like it !
(not much else on pic :D )
Best use of colors I've seen in a while.
You're awesome, and your work is awesome. Keep up the amazing work !
All this palette science is flying over my head.
But yeah, quality stuff.
@Dawnbringer: thanks a lot! - I will try it - thanks :)
- looking just at numbers - it seems like more european skintone, I was aiming into african - like this time - with some 'rusty' addons to make it more 'live' (but I will check this for sure :)
As most of my works - its 'party version', finished (with compromises - like no 'real' background) at event there was no time for proper rendering
@JerryPie: thank you :) Unfortunatelly there will be more c64 portraits I'm afraid :/
but also more amiga pixels in pipeline - waiting for better time :)
Very neato!
Just so everyone knows; it's a bitch to get smooth, good-looking gradients with a 12-bit palette.
Maybe you already tried it, but there's an option to turn [153,136,136] into [153,136,119] plus [153,153,153] into [153,153,136] for a slightly warmer skintone (which contrasts the colder hair and background quite well).
very nice, glad to see another non-c64 portrait from you. great hair!
Damn, this is incredible! The lighting in the hair is excellent.
@Frost: thank you very much!
I was at GERP this year, and most likely will be at Datastorm, not sure about Edison though, would be cool to see you!
