I think it is a really good idea, and instead of removing the background animation entirely, you should instead pixel the effects yourself. It would look awesome.

You have a lot of NPA effects going on in the background of your image, which isn't allowed in the gallery unfortunately. Can you change the background or simply submit without it present (like in the preview)?
