Yeah, the death really should be slower. It would be cool if the ant slowly turned black and then flipped over. The ray shouldn't be that yellow. But overall, nice idea.

Awesome, awesome idea. I love it. Maybe you could have the ants create a puff of smoke that wisps away after they disappear. And the lens of the glass maybe shouldn't be blue.

I agree with Shark.  Longer burn, slower walk, for more emphasis on death and obliteration.

looks a bit fast, the burning should be slower and longer.
