Made this as a study for muscle definition and animation.The animation is kind blunt, but at least I understood how it works.However, I need help with muscles.Any and all advices are welcome.

Yeah, you're right, I see what you mean.But I'm having so much trouble with it static, this was most basically a test to see how the things went on (No, this not an excuse, it's still cheesy! I'll hook on that skeleton thing.
A tip is to redraw the entire sprite in every frame. Now it just looks like you have edited one frame too much if you know what I mean.. begin with a skeleton and then add the basic colours and see if you like the animation then you can start working on the shadows.. I've taken a look or two on Kim Kaphawn's sprite for muscle, and it actually looks easy the way SNK does it.But then again, not half easy for me =P But I'll take a better look around.Thanks!
I can't actually see any muscle definition here, apart from on the arm but it looks like a stray line, along with the stray pixels under his arm on his stomach. And the light shading is too messy for me. His head also seems too small. I think the best way to help improve muscles is to check out reference pictures, or if you work out, check your own... lol.
