whipped these up for a pixel art challenge on r/gamemaker's Discord channel.
Parameters were to pixel a 4-colour sprite that's within a 32 x 32 canvas.
I forgot how much fun limited palettes are, and this was such a nice reminder!
We have a beautiful warrior here.
It's watching us, and it has a sword... No sudden movements...
thanks so much!! and, he gets my imagination going too, now I'm fantasizing about a cute animal action RPG or something (except not because there are way too many action RPGs happening right now, haha.) Stuff like this would be so fun to animate, too!
I just LOVED this character. Is like "hello, sorry I'm at your balcony, bu I have to save the world, poop some statues and kill some evil beigns"
The composition is GREAT, the balance of elements for such a small piece and the shape are just perfect.
a 10/10 work!
thanks! My work being compared to Earthbound in any way means a lot to me. "Mundane warrior" is a great way of putting it.
thanks so much! and I'm glad too, I've really been neglecting Pixel Joint lately.
Dig it, the whole mundane warrior thing gives it a bit of an Earthbound vibe.
this is still my favorite thing and i was hoping you would post it here too
