This is amazing. Just joined the site and am new to pixel art, but hope to get to this level someday! I have a hard time picking colors and making them go well together. Even after lots of tutorials it feels like I'm just not getting it :/

Fantastic effect, I am trying to study those plump clusters:
The colour change starting from light, to darkening corners, to full dark thick crosses, fading to nothing.
