A super quick rendition of my favorite animal. They have good memories and take care of each other. Beautiful and powerful.
I went nuts with another crazy (possibly icky) palette. It's similar to "The Last Dinosaur" I just submitted, but I muted the colors into an almost pastel feel. I've been trying to avoid pure blacks and pure whites and make something special in between. This was my first attempt at trying greyscale and then adding hues after the piece was completed. It did save time, but I'm not really used to it and not sure I like the outcome. It's a new style, though, so I guess I'm proud of that regardless of how "great" it turned. The "stipiling" effect was something that I may try again, but I'll definately plan it a little better and work at longer for sure. Hopefully YOU like it. Enjoy!
Thanks, man! I really appreciate that. I never know when there aren't many comments as to how I'm progressing with different styles. Sometimes it's just experimenting though and I don't really remember how I did what I did! But it's always a process and fight to get things across. Which, hopefully just means I'm getting better by getting out of my comfort zone.
Thanks, I suppose. .I hope that's a good thing. I made my palette pretty quickly so I bet that, combined with how I shaded it, had something to do with the glossiness of it. If anything, I hope the colors are at least defined between each other.
