Nice job! The character and color choices look pretty good. The shading could use a little work as it looks slightly unfinished in most areas of solid color. The Anti-Aliasing on the lineart is looking pretty good in trying to smooth out the jagged areas as a start into shading. I get that sometimes it's stylistic to use less shadows. But because there are some shadows in great areas like the neck, the other areas where you didn't use shadow, like the pants, the hair, or even under the belt, leave it looking somewhat flat. One thing to avoid is the pillow shading like on the shoes. It doesn't give the viewer much idea as to the form of an object and most interesting pieces won't have lighting coming directly from the front of an object.
It looks like you've got some great ideas though so keep it up!
