Great composition and although the lighting is not realistic it is believable. The only confusing thing is the tree stump on the lower right which is lit too much like the tree on the top right and they visually blend together. Since you go for a feeling most of the time I would say the mission was accomplished here, I felt it.

i tihnk the light should be much more bright, if light is actually reaching that wide of an area  and the rest is that dark than the light would be very bright.  the roots also could use some work....i really like the character though and the composition makes for a strong piece (though i think the highlight on the character should be a lot brighter)

I dont like you trees, roots, and character. They are ugle. But you made a fantactic colors! 5/6

Looks really nice but a bit grainy.  I guess it's a style, though, since not all pixel art is smoothly (word?) colored.

Ah, a very pretty animation you've got here. The colours are really nice, and i like the way the centre of attention isn't in the centre of the image. Probably would have liked to have seen more foliage to the sides and between the threes though.
