No I think it works the way at least I thought it was supposed to. You know how when you look at a coin, like a quarter for example (assuming you're in the US, though I believe most coins have this due to how they're made), they have that edge around it that you can still see looking at it top-down? That's kind of what I was going for with that.
That's why the top and bottom edges are thinner than the side edges when the coin is turned to the side.
That, and it's a simple design that didn't take too long but works for what it was made for sooooo...eh.
