I would consider enlarging this, stretching the background and finding an even more interesting composition through that!
I love the detail on the island and the house! Very nice :) if you wanted to make this better, maybe add more detail on the water/sky. Though I can also see how the simplicity of the background attracts the viewer's attention to the island and the house! Either way, nice work :)
