True what you say about the contrast.

I have some problems with shading the skin color. Tried some variations but didn't like them. Probably should place the face in specific environment with specific lighting in mind.. I'll do version 3 when I get over this problem.

Don't be shy with the contrast between shades. The colours that are similar to each other read as the same colour. The general shape is good though.
