Lights in the building flickering or lanterns lit would add a lot of atmosphere.

Amazing. For some reason, though, I'm sort of put off by the fact that the water is the only animated thing. Perhaps the leaves could also blow around a bit?

WOWZAH! the lighting and everything is magnificent! The detail and sheer skill of it all is overwhelming, man that must've taken a while! and loving the animated waterfall on the right by the way, beautiful!

Fantastic! Definitely favved... I particularly enjoy how the trees are lighted from the bottom... gives the pic an eerie atmosphere.

This is a spectacular piece, I love it. The distance of the tress and then the slow green fade out really catches my eyes. The pagota is very nicely done and I can't get over the rocks with the small waterfall. I have nothing to critique, everything looks great by my watch.

I really like the coloring on the trees and the simplicity of the terrain (rocks). The building is pretty good but looks grainy around the roof and the curves of the roof seem to vary in size and shape. Aside from that it's very good and still a 5/5 overall.

Thank you all very much. I forgot to add that the very top and bottom is mostly covered by the game UI and overly detailing these areas looked confusing. in the game demo.

Nice job all around, but I totally agree with Shark about the rocks. Also, you should define the building less with flashy details and more with colors and lighting.

This is quite an attractive piece to look at.. Far better than most people could do. I know you had time limitations, but i still think this could have been so much more refined and less 'scrappy'. The work on the building is great, but the forest really doesnt do it for me. The rocks all just seem to be black with 2/3 colors to highlight the tops. This gives it a contrasty feel, but makes the rocks look rushed and unfinished. The waterfall is a nice touch, not too overpowering, but it still seems a bit rushed. Thats my opinion though, you are a great background artist, and i am looking forward to seeing the red rocky one finished :D. Despite my views, this piece gets 7/7 none the less.
