I'm afraid it looks like you've either used some gradient and transparency or the compression of your submission got out of hand. The image specs revealed that whatever happened has created upwards of 700 colors. Those kinds of tools are used a lot in modern retro style games. Unfortunately, use of these techniques aren't accepted in the gallery. It's not that they look bad by any means (depending on who views them, that is ) but they don't qualify as true pixel art seeing as they "quicken"(some would say "cheapen") the process. Precision in pixel placement is a highly important aspect of pixel art and when these tools are used, though it makes what's created no less art, it no longer reaches the standard of pixel art skill required by the Pixeljoint community.
Hopefully it was an accident and can be cleaned up and edited. Keep up the good work and improving in your art! I look forward to seeing more of your art.
thank you for replying!! I see this today... didn't know about rules... thank you for your kind comment!
