Haha, how have I never seen this cartoon? I just looked it up, and yeah that's pretty much the style I was going for. That kind of 1970's Dudley Do Right style, but also remniscient of older Ub Iwerks rubber-hose limbs.
The rider is actually being bumped into the air as the camel drops, like how your butt lifts off a rollercoaster seat. Her dress kind of obfuscates this unfortunately, but you can see the effect in this WIP version: jameso2.byethost6.com/pixelart/2018/Alison/CAMEL_wip_0.gif
I had to make a trade-off decision: keep the bouncey physics accurate, remove the dress, or basically glue the girl to the camel. I chose to keep the physics accurate. I'm not 100% happy with how I did the dress, but I'm also not sure exactly how I could have fixed it without it looking wonky. :/
I might mess around with it later and try having her bump up higher. Either way, thanks for the input. Duly noted.
I love the "deal with it" glasses. As stickman said, i also think she could move up and down a bit more. The camel made me recall Hoot Kloot's Fester.
Lovely artwork and the camel walk is fun to watch. I think that the rider could move up and down a bit more.
Hahha, thanks. I was going for that rubber-hose kind of animation.
Thanks. :)
