Oh yeah. I had that same problem with one of mine. I think there's a file size cap that isn't very enforced, other than the site doing this to your piece. You can try optimizing it to see if that helps at all. I know GIMP does a pretty good with that.
Thanks, but I am having problem uploading the actual image (this one is just a part of a really long animation) it just takes the one I uploaded as the one for the preview part :( I'm new to the site but will try and figure it out!
