The only alphas I used where for the girl's cap and there only the parts, which don't have any background. I hope you get, what I mean.
It's not, like I'm not able to do transparent tones by hand and stuff. But there is...no way to make transparent pixels really transparent other than using alpha blending :P

Well, it should look like he has a small tummy. Not the perfect man, y'know.
I found it too...unreal to give him a super strong body or something.

Sadly, Madame Chick-on-my-side resembles no real person. Which is very very sad, really :(

I must say: It's not entirely my style. The style was by a very high degree inspired by Paul Robertson (maybe some of you know his pixel animation move "Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006". He inspires and motivates me very much just with the things he does (he doesn't even know me :( ). So, one could say, he's my idol in some ways. But whatever, I'm babbling too much I think.
