Thanks! Actually, I turned this scene into a game and I made the view to go little bit left or right according to the direction player is facing so that it's easy to see what's ahead.
Nice work. I especially like the creature. And this would totally work on NES. (But it revealed a bug in the program I wrote to make ROMs, so I can't give you one of those until I fix that.)
Ooh, I love how detailed everything is. The color choice is excellent as well, you can clearly tell what is important and what is background. also, this is a nitpick but wouldn't the main character be at the center of the screen?
The palette is definitely pleasant to look at: even if it isn't precisely NES, it captures the appeal of the NES pretty well. I also quite like the flowing... ribbons? Beams of light? Coming from the wolf/dog. They're very shiny and pop out.
