I tried using these fundamentals on a small pixel art. When it comes to texturing stuff in small pixel art pieces, placing pixels in an planned, rough mess really works for giving off that photographic feel. The piece uses 15 colors that I got from an actual photograph.
I had made this piece before I realized that transparency was a requirement for the weekly. Since the piece already had 16 colors, I had to remove a color from the sky to accomadate the transparency. The small preview image, which I will put after the weekly voting stage is over, uses all 16 colors. |
