PJ is for artists of all skill levels! Work like this is perfectly fine in the gallery, the quality rules are more about low-effort work and stuff that isn't even pixel art.
If you're worried about the quality of your work, why not post your stuff in the WIP forum for feedback before you call each thing done?
You are completely right, Ive sat and carefully read the rules now, Ive updated the piece to fit the rules better without the background. (Although the rules kinda made me realize that PJ is probably more for pixel art experts than a beginner like me, but I'll leave the art piece up unless they reject it :)) Thanks eishiya, I appreciate your help!
The PJ rules encourage transparent backgrounds whenever appropriate :]
Thanks for the advice, yeah, usually i pick the backgrounds in a hurry, but you are totally right, i should choose softer colors or upload the versions without solid color backgrounds :)
The saturated background clashes with the rest of the piece. Something with low saturation, or perhaps a transparent background, would work better I think.
Yeah thats great advice, im kinda new to PJ but ive always been a lurker, since a fan of pixel art. In this case, the reason that i dont post in the WIP is that due to work i dont have much time to iterate on my art, and since im doing them for Octobit, they are 1 hour work per day only :) But maybe in the future when i work on bigger more elaborate works, ill use the WIP forum for sure.
Thanks eishiya, youve restored my willingness to post my other works :)
PS: Your work is amazing btw.
