While a transformation would look cool, I quite like the sudden change; it befits the lightning strike. An excellent design as well, caught me off-guard thinking about the preview!

oh yeah, that would have been great. I ended up making this in a pretty short amount of time since it was for a pixel daily so I didn't want to do too much

I wish there was a transform animation.
