Yeah, this was my earlier days.
This was the biggest thing I have ever finished so far in pixel art.

I hate the idea, but this is amizingly done, you have incredi skills if you've done this on your own

I wanted the blood to look like water pouring out.
It's what I was going for.

There are some little mistakes in shading (it is too complicated). Blood could be more red. What to say more — blood looks like a water (maybe take a look on SplatPixel works if You want to see blood–art).

The reference I ended up using was my own fist and arm.

I'm glad you kept the reference picture to yourself. I like the fist as it redminds me of Commander Keen in episode 4-6 of that game. Emo CK is a little creepy though.

If the header reflects your audience, I don't think your website will get a lot of visitors for long. :)
The hand looks pretty good to great, but the arm nees some work. Nomatter how skinny or emo you are, an arm doesn't get thinner after the wrist. So the thinnest part of the arm should be somewhere around the 'a' of "contact".
I don't know if you've ever cut yourself, but blood doesn't gush, it seeps. And I think the pool of blood could use some highlights.

Souly, highlight the word portfolio to both pop the word and give some shine.

my main gripe with this is that the word "portfolio" is somewhat hard to see; and for a portfolio website that should be the big attention-getter. arm looks a little flat, too.

I'll leave my natuarl dislike for emos at the door. The main problem I notice is what cereal killer said: the blood doesn't look like blood. Give a shiney liquid texture.
